Canteen Committee

Overview

The Canteen Committee of East Calcutta Girls' College supervises and monitors, at regular intervals, the quality and quantity of services provided by the canteen. It collaborates with the canteen in-charge to enhance services concerning food quality, canteen timings, and pricing of items sold. The committee continually seeks feedback from the college community to improve services and expand menu options. The canteen is envisioned not just as a place to eat but as a space to relax, connect with peers, and build lasting memories.

Functions

• Supervise and maintain canteen facilities with emphasis on hygiene.
• Maintain and control the quality of food supplied in the canteen.
• Modernize canteen equipment and cooking procedures.
• Provide oversight and suggestions to the canteen management.
• Plan infrastructure facilities as per norms.
• Monitor the maintenance of all infrastructure facilities related to the canteen.
• Ensure the canteen premises are clean and hygienic.
