Library Overview
The library of East Calcutta Girls' College houses over 13,000 books along with e-books and journals. Digital facilities such as OPAC, E-Library, and N-LIST provide easy and efficient access to academic resources.

Students may borrow 2 books for home issue along with Book Bank facilities (if available) and 1 book for reading issue. |

Students may borrow 1 book for home issue along with Book Bank facilities (if available) and 1 book for reading issue. |

Teaching Staff |
Teaching staff may borrow up to 8 books for a period of one month. |

Non-Teaching Staff |
Non-teaching staff may borrow up to 4 books for a period of one month. |
Library Rules
Students must maintain complete silence inside the library at all times.
Use of mobile phones and loud conversations inside the library is strictly prohibited.
Students are required to keep their personal belongings outside the library.
Book issue slips must be filled between 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM.
Books will be issued between 2:30 PM and 5:00 PM.
Books must be returned within the due date, failing which a fine of ₹1 per day per book will be charged.
Reference books and periodicals are strictly for use within the library unless special permission is granted.
Book Bank facilities are available for deserving students upon submission of a valid family income certificate.
Faculty and staff must return all borrowed materials and obtain a Library Clearance Certificate upon retirement or resignation.
Students are encouraged to submit suggestions for library improvement to the librarian.
