Overview

The Health Cell at East Calcutta Girls’ College is dedicated to fostering a culture of well-being, promoting healthy lifestyles, and providing the necessary resources to help our college community thrive physically and mentally. Our aim is to empower students to prioritize their health and well-being while they pursue their academic goals. Together, we create a healthier, happier campus environment.

Activities

  • Organizing regular blood donation camps, Thalassemia tests, and other health check-ups for students and staff.
  • Conducting free eye tests, blood sugar tests, and awareness camps on diseases like Tuberculosis, Dengue, and Malaria in collaboration with renowned doctors and Students Health Home.

Objectives

  • To conduct free health check-ups, blood donation camps, and awareness programs at the college campus.
  • To assist in maintaining cleanliness in the college campus and its surroundings.
  • To promote hygienic lifestyles among the students.
  • To raise awareness about the importance of health, sanitation, and hygiene through seminars and workshops.
  • To encourage students to take up leading roles and responsibilities in community services.
  • To organize awareness programs for better sanitation practices like using the toilet, hand washing, health and hygiene awareness, and garbage disposal.
