Welcome to East Calcutta Girls’ College!! Situated in the eastern fringes of Kolkata, the college has been striving since 1992 to spread education among girl students. The college envisions to educate, capacitate and empower the girls not only by providing quality education, but also by facilitating them with employability skills and ensuring their holistic development.
The college offers 17 UG programmes and 2 PG programmes in Education and Geography. Equipped with a pool of qualified and dedicated teachers, ICT enabled classrooms, resourceful library, gymnasium, yoga and sports facilities, we try to serve our students in the best possible way. The college offers a number of certificate courses, and arranges a number of seminars, lectures and workshops. Students are instilled with a sense of social responsibility through their participation in NSS activities and celebration of different important days. Their artistic, creative and cognitive talents are showcased through different cultural programs, quiz competitions, debates, etc. The college provides students with regular psychological counseling and career counseling.
