East Calcutta Girls’ College has a health cell unit at the college campus. The cell works for creating awareness among the students about different health problems, and  different medical facilities that are provided to them. The Health Cell of the college regularly organise blood donation camps, Thalassemia tests etc for the students and the staff. Apart from these, the cell arranges free Eye-Tests, Blood Sugar Tests, Blood donation camp for the students and the staffs and conducts awareness camps on Tuberculesis, Dengue, Malaria etc with the help of renowne doctors and Students Health Home.

The Health Cell meets the following objectives:

  • To conduct Free Health check-up, Blood Donation Camps and awarenesss programs at college campus.
  • To assist in maintaining the cleanliness in the college campus and its surroundings.
  • To promote hygienic lifestyles amongst the students.
  • To make aware about the importance of Health, Sanitation and Hygiene through seminars and workshops.
  • To encourage the students to take up leading role and responsibilities for community services.
  • To organize awareness programs for better sanitation practices like using the toilet, hand washing, health and hygiene awareness, and garbage disposal, etc.

The Health Cell is dedicated to fostering a culture of well-being, promoting healthy lifestyles, and providing the necessary resources to help our college community thrive physically and mentally. Our aim is to empower students to prioritize their health and well-being while they pursue their academic goals. Together, we create a healthier, happier campus environment.
