Welcome to the National Service Scheme (NSS) at East Calcutta Girls’ College. The NSS in a college serves as a dynamic platform to develop a sense of social responsibility, civic engagement, and community service among students.

Primarily, NSS activities involve organizing and participating in a diverse range of community service initiatives. These initiatives can include health camps, environmental awareness campaigns, educational outreach programs, and various social service acts. Through hands-on involvement in these activities, students develop essential life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and communication. Under the guidance of two program officers from the college two units are being run. The NSS also plays a vital role in encouraging a spirit of volunteerism and empathy among college students. Furthermore, the NSS often collaborates with external organisations and governmental agencies to amplify its impact and create a network for social change.

Our NSS program stands as a testament to our commitment to producing socially aware and responsible citizens who will contribute to the betterment of society. We invite all students to join NSS and be a part of this incredible journey towards positive change and community development. Together, we can make a difference.
