Kanyashree Prakalpa: Empowering the Girl Child 

Kanyashree Prakalpa is a flagship initiative of the Government of West Bengal, designed to improve the status and well-being of girls from socio-economically disadvantaged families through conditional cash transfers. Launched by the Department of Women Development and Social Welfare, the scheme aims to promote education, delay early marriage, and empower girls to become self-reliant and confident members of society.

How to Apply

Eligible girls must open a bank account and submit documents (age proof, income certificate, unmarried declaration, enrollment proof) to their school or local government office.
