Aikyashree Scholarship (West Bengal)

The Aikyashree Scholarship is a financial aid initiative by the Government of West Bengal to support meritorious students from minority communities, covering education from Class 1 to PhD across various disciplines.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Domicile: Permanent resident of West Bengal
  • Community: Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Jain, and Parsi
  • Education Level:
    • Pre-Matric: Class 1 to 10
    • Post-Matric: Class 11 to PhD
    • Merit-cum-Means: Technical/professional UG/PG courses
  • Academic Performance: Minimum 50% marks in last exam (except Class 1)
  • Family Income:
    • Pre-Matric: ≤ ₹2 lakh
    • Post-Matric: ≤ ₹2 lakh (OBC), ₹2.5 lakh (SC), ₹3 lakh (ST)
    • MCM: ≤ ₹2.5 lakh

Scholarship Amount

  • Pre-Matric: Up to ₹1,000/month
  • Post-Matric: Up to ₹10,000/year
  • Merit-cum-Means: Up to ₹33,000/year (varies by course)

How to Apply

  1. Visit the Aikyashree Scholarship Portal.
  2. Click "Student Registration" and complete the form with personal, academic, and bank details.
  3. Upload documents: photo, caste/income certificates, mark sheets, institution certificate, bank details.
  4. Submit the form online and keep a printout for reference.
