Government Scholarships

East Calcutta Girls’ College facilitates a variety of government-sponsored scholarships to help students from different social and economic backgrounds pursue higher education. Eligible students are encouraged to apply through respective portals and follow the timelines diligently.

Key Government Scholarships:

• Kanyashree Prakalpa (K2): For unmarried female students above 18 years, pursuing higher education. Offered by the Government of West Bengal.
• Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship: For meritorious students belonging to economically backward families in West Bengal.
• OASIS Scholarship: For SC/ST/OBC students under the Backward Classes Welfare Department.
• National Scholarship Portal (NSP): A central portal for various national-level scholarships including Post-Matric, Pre-Matric, and Minority Scholarships.
• Minority Scholarship (WBMDFC): For students from minority communities (Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsee) in West Bengal.
